About Tyler Rilling
I'm influenced by point-and-click adventure games, trashy 90's movies, Star Wars, Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Ghost in the Shell, Dungeons & Dragons, technomancy, and cyberpunk architecture.
In my past life, I had a background in information computer security and built a successful web hosting business. Since then, I've worked as a UX designer, level designer, and consultant for a few video games and virtual reality experiences. I have also built a couple of websites.
I've been creating things digitally for roughly two decades. If you've ever liked something on the internet, interacted with an eye-catching VR experience, played a terrific MMO, or visited the Wine Country, you’ve probably seen some of my work. I'm sorry about that.
Some of my work has also been featured on TechCrunch, CNN, ABC (Australia), and various local 📰 news outlets in Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California.
I've recently ended my time as a lead developer at Wildern, an interactive design agency in Seattle. I'm now working part-time building my own agency, underlost.xyz, where Im working closely with individuals and companies to help them build and manage their online presence in a rapidly evolving, digital landscape. Want to work together? You should send me an email ✉️ at email@example.com.
Besides that, I recently announced the first of two startups I'm building. Say hello to Boredable, a non-profit organization aiming to build a new social media platform that focuses on showing you only what you want to see, without any crazy timelines or in-your-face algorithms to get in your way.
